3-10, 11 & 12, 2010

I don't have many pictures from the end of last week so I am combining the days. Also, Luke and I will be busy Wed/Thurs of this week with some fun activities so I won't have much time to get on the computer.

Anyway, last Wednesday we took another extraordinary hike in the state park that takes you to a seemingly deserted beachfront. Stunning. I subhected my family to another array of timer shots, but was glad I did because even the dogs found their way into the photo for a TRUE family picture! We went from there to the local lighthouse which is another pretty and special spot in the area and then we paused for a construction break. Luke saves his excitement for these sights, forget the ocean there is ground being broken! Enjoyed some lunch at the condo and had a popsicle party later with Daddy. Steve said we had to eat all 24 in the week so a couple of nights we were all doublefisting popsicles and loveing every minute of it!

Thursday was a get out for a drive day since it was overcast. We enjoyed a little visit in Appalachacola but I think the only picture I took was of the dog treats we brought back for the girls...they were a hit. Thursday night we went to a great raw bar for baked oysters (YUM) gumbo (YUM) steamed shrimp (YUM) and crablegs (YUM) Luke enjoyed the sleeves of saltines on all of the tables and ignored (rightly so) the corndog that we ordered for him. Just for the record, we did offer the seafood several times and he was just not into it :)

The last photo is from Friday. It was taken near Montgomery, AL, about 6 hours into our trip. He is still smiling and having fun with his shades. We made the 13 hour trip in one day, and we were all happy to be home when we arrived. Luke was spectacular on the trip pointing out trucks, police cars, etc...for 11 hours before falling asleep as we neared home. It was a wonderful time together.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
