Hello Handsome...

and some other new things. I am not sure if he likes his reflection or not? I do know that this is one kid that would brush his teeth all day long. Just LOVES it :) And now it seems, he would like to climb on the toilet all day long, too. That, I am not as thrilled about, but it is pretty cool/amazing/frightening to see his skills just developing and changing every minute. Keep it up, Luke. You are an adventure!

For the record, I took a lot of pictures in one day and used them for a lot of posts b/c I just HAD to :) That would explain the same clothes & the never shrinking scab on his head. The blurry picture of him squinting is special to me b/c that is a face he makes at random times and I always just crack up, then he cracks up and does it again. I call him Mister Squints-A-Lot when he does it...he is a little performer.

Precious

That is the word that goes over and over in my head when I see these pictures. He is just THRILLED to be walking on the storage bench. Living in the moment & loving it, indeed!

Me and My Dad

Saturday night, I was sitting next to Steve as he read some books to Luke and had to get my camera because I was just in love with how Luke was relaxing into his daddy. I especially loved how his arm was casually draped over Steve's, and just how much comfort you could see between the two of them. So sweet.

On another note, Steve brought me flowers last Friday that are just stunning and I had to get a picture posted so that I have a memory of them once they are gone. He go them for me for boss's day - ha he called be the boss of the house :) So sweet.

Matchbox Cars

You are everywhere. There aren't many moments that Luke doesn't have one of you in his hands or isn't driving one of you over some piece of furniture, dog or person. You are all wonderful friends to the Lukestar, and I am glad to have you around, everywhere.

This is a pretty good idea of the joy you bring to Luke's day, everyday.

This is how you do it, girls.

Here is my little love showing the girls proper form for the downward dog position. I think Luna is more interested in shredding paper and Star isn't really sure what is going on...this picture is priceless to me.

Today

Luke is napping, Steve is eating, I am lounging with magazines and WAY too much Halloween candy and BIG SURPRISE it is cloudy outside. The sun made a quick appearance today so we went for a walk but it was still really chilly and it went away pretty quickly. Oh well. We have a warm house and lots of fun to be had indoors. I say that the house has been LUKEIFIED b/c it looks like a tornado came through every room. I have begun to give up on cleaning up everything when he takes a nap b/c it takes away precious free time and it just ends up looking the same way before he goes to bed. Some of Luke's favorite things right now are: matchbox cars his firetrucks his bulldozer (sensing a theme, eh?) climbing on top of our new storage unit in front of the window (eek!) books, books, and more books - he really likes books about trucks and firetrucks being outside (how do explain yucky weather to a toddler, they really don't care!)Yesterday we spent the cold, overcast morning in the house as long as I could stand it and then we loaded up for a hike. We hit a milestone, walking a trail (about a mile long) without a stroller! Woo Hoo! I carried him once in a while but his strong little legs got him around about 2/3 of it...It was a super treat for all of us (me and the dogs) Here is Luke on the trail.
POPSICLES -About a month or so ago, right before bed, Luke bumped his head when he was playing with me in his room. I thought giving him half a popsicle would be a good way to distract him enough for me to ice his head. It definitely was, and now I am pretty certain he falls so that he can run to the freezer and try to get a treat. I buy the all fruit (no high fructose corn syrup - yuck) kind so it isn't a TERRIBLE habit and it is really really really really cute to see him just smile and show his excitement when you get one out of the freezer. Another favorite is the picture of a car bed in a catalog I got this week. I showed him something else in the catalog thinking he might like it for Christmas, but he just flipped through the pages, saw this car bed and went crazy oohing and aahing. He will now independently flip through the catalog and stop on the page with the bed to admire it. I have a feeling this bed might show up for a certain someone's birthday :) Okay, I am going back to my magazine...

The Boss

Today is Boss's day. I can be a bit bossy and probably run our household to an extent, but Steve is being celebrated at the high school today (and he is lucky to have had treats brought to him all week) and he is a wonderful, kind and smart leader there. We celebrate Daddy with some fun pictures of my new favorite time of day - Dinner & Dessert!

I am cooking pretty much every night now (WOW!) and it is really a joy to feed these two (or 4) depends on which picture you are looking at...

I am also kind of obsessive about grammar. I looked up Boss's Day and it can be spelled with an ' or Bosses...resolved that major dilemma in my head. Steve is definitely grinning as he reads this :) Love you, Boss!
