Unlimited Access
Luke has unlimited access to ice pops this summer, as every child should :), and he is taking proper advantage of it...Actually, so are his parents. Yum!

It's the real bumblebee!
We MET BUMBLEBEE! He was parked at SIU and we took a minute to walk over and make sure that he was really a Chevy Camaro before realizing that he was real! Super random amazing-ness in the middle of the day!
Later, Luke helped me set up his new umbrella and enjoyed having it go up and down (any activity to delay bedtime!)
In spite of this wild drought, we have some beauty blooming.
And, I am having lots of fun wrestling this little dude any chance I get!
Life is good!

Scrappy Trap
Because you never know what you might catch in the driveway (we did leave the trap up for a couple of days)...
...and in between setting traps, you might need to water the plants...
...and in between taking pictures of my favorite 4 year old in action, I caught this guy relaxing and took a second to enjoy the view.

From the Treat Box
Luke was pretty thrilled to be done with his annual dentist check-up (all is well!) especially when he found a package of jacks in the treat box before he left for lunch with Daddy! The best part is playing by Luke's rules, which he is still trying to figure out :)

Pancake Parties
I don't even know what to write here....these two are just too much fun and I love these pictures of them prepping for a cart ride, wrestling, etc...all after eating some pancakes and bacon. Too much fun for sure!
Luke and Addie, June 2012, love, love, love...
Luke LOVES to be home, and if he isn't going to school in the afternoon (about 2-3 times each week) he will argue to just stay home and P-L-A-Y. So, we have started inviting friends for breakfast and play which is great. The kids have a blast, the moms get to visit and sometimes it leads to a nap for all :) Win-win!
By the way, with this visit, the kids took time to make sure that Star was really cozy and comfy...Love that. I think Addie is going to be a vet. She loves loving on Star!

Mommy Moments
Thank you, Steve, for getting the camera and taking these silly & candid photos of us last night. We sat on the front patio enjoying 'cooler' temps, eating dinner, playing, talking (at least until Luke told us we were talking too much as he likes to do) and these photos just absolutely fill my heart with love.

Bribery
Luke has been going to school still in the afternoons a couple of days a week, but when he doesn't go we have playdates or just hang at home. HE LOVES TO BE AT HOME! The other day, I wanted to see the splash pad at a local park, and had to nearly beg him to go for a ride with me. All the while, he kept saying 'I don't want to go" so I told him he didn't have to go, we were just going to drive by the place. Well, that will be my new go-to strategy since we ended up staying over an hour playing and splashing!
He loved the fact that he could push a button to turn the water on and then spent more time studying all of the fountains and the timing of which ones were on or off at any given moment than playing in the water. He did laugh pretty hard any time mommy 'accidentally' got soaked!

Start of Summer
Luke gives the first day of summer a big 'thumbs up'! Even while he wears Gpa Nick's hat with the 'dead fish' on it :)
Another big fun for the day was getting to spend the whole day with these two! Gma Susan and Gpa Paul enjoyed the park, lunch, some kung-fu and lots of other fun with their favorite grandson today! Then...we took these two buddies to swim at Gma Jackie's, took a sunset golf cart ride and said thank you for a great day! Welcome (official) Summer!
