Today marks one month that Luna had her leg removed. Her hair is almost all back and she is as feisty and happy as ever. Luke was kind enough to share some soft pretzel with her today which was pretty sweet, and she loved it!
And...we played in the rain after school this week. Just a fun little moment to share.
Sunday, September 12, 2010 moments
-chasing Luke around the neighbors yard as I hung laundry and listening to him GIGGLE with GLEE
-getting laundry off line and teaching Luke to smell the fresh air smell of blankets dried in the sun. He took a big sniff with his eyes closed, then exhaled and said 'aaaaahhh'
-driving out to Grassy and watching the dogs and Luke splash and love life as the sun set. the water was warm and we even got to watch a kayak and a canoe paddle into the dock. Luke would say "Kie-Yak" and smile at the paddler
-strolling through Target today with my mom and enjoying Luke sitting contentedly in the cart (the big part) holding his new toy until we checked out. When we got to the line he started clapping and saying "Pay, now" b/c he knew I would open the toy once we paid for it!
-Coming out of his bedroom to see what he was up to and seeing him smiling, trying on a variety of baseball caps from the TOP of a bookshelf...He is FAST
-watching him focus and practice using his new kid scissors, then coming to get me and saying 'mommy, mess' about all of the paper on the floor. I asked him who was going to pick up the mess and he smiled at me and said 'mommy' (duh!) but he got the broom and did help :)
-having my husband feel okay with his new golf clubs.
