First Round

Labor Day we took Luke out for his first round of golf. It was a huge success. He now loves playing even more in the backyard because he has tees to use and he is getting really good at teeing up anything and everything. Between time with Daddy golfing, the golf cart and the amazing time in the great outdoors, this may have been one of Luke's favorite days so far :) Oh yeah, he had a big bowl of ice cream for lunch, too.

These are originals by Luke. I heart them.

Photographer

Remember I mentioned how Luke is pretty crazy about using the camera for his own entertainment? Here is proof. And a few of my favorite abstract shots that he took Friday night AND Saturday morning. I want to add that I am a pretty fun mom to LEND my camera to a 2 year old boy. I also want to add that it is a really cool feeling to trust that said 2 year old is going to know how to use the camera. Plus, how can I say no when taking a few pictures brings such joy. Good times.

The Best Day Ever

Saturday. Sun shining. Breeze blowing. Windows open. 80 degrees. Perfection.

We ran a few errands, did a lot of yard work and even built a compost. I am proud to admit some of my composting knowledge comes from a Curious Geoge episode.

This is Luke eating some lunch under his peach tree.

I have to be quick, REALLY QUICK, to get a photo of him these days because he wants to control the camera. And he is pretty good at it to...more on that later.

Later in the day we all enjoyed a nap, a snack and then Luke spent the night at Gma Susan's while Steve and I enjoyed every second of a date. Good dinner, better company, grocery shopping, golf club and hiking shoe shopping then ice cream and hot chocolate. A good date depends on the person you are with, and I am with the best.

3 things

1. We went for a family walk tonight around the neighborhood for the first time in 2 months and enjoyed every minute of it. Go Luna!

2. Terriers win and go to 2-0. Go Terriers!

3. We are heading into a three day weekend with NO PLANS. Go family!

And now for some pictures of a little boy who didn't want to take a nap and found a bottle of baby powder to play with...Enjoy. Notice that he DID fill up his bed, just not with his sleeping body, little stinker.

These are precious days.
